SHOCKING: Dina Bonnevie Died for Over a Minute — Shares Her Out-of-Body Experience in Detail

Dina Bonnevie, Season 3’s star, was clinically dead for more than a minute while doctors tried to revive her at a hospital after she lost consciousness. She later recalled her harrowing near-death experience (NDE), where she described her soul momentarily separating from her body and journeying to a place she could not explain.

According to a health expert, an NDE is a strange occurrence experienced by those who are on the brink of death—typically involving an out-of-body sensation or visions of a tunnel and light.

In a vlog by her fellow veteran actress Amy Austria, Dina recounted the life-changing moment when she was declared clinically dead while confined in a hospital.

She said it happened when she was just 23 years old, during a time when she was struggling—with work, health, and her marriage.
“Actually, I was clinically dead for a minute and 10 seconds,” Dina shared.
“Maybe it was due to overfatigue because I was doing several movies at the same time. I was also doing dubbing and promoting my films.”

She recalled performing with Alma Moreno on the show Loveliness for a promotional number.
“But I’m allergic to smoke machines. NES was fogging us with smoke. We had a dance number. Right after, I felt like I was about to collapse. I rushed to my car. When I got home, I saw my daughter Danica. The only thing I managed to say was, ‘Danica…’”

Her doctor, Anyya, recounted that Dina collapsed in the bathroom while washing her face.
“Long story short, I was rushed to the hospital. On the way there, I couldn’t see anything anymore—my vision was fading because I was having such a hard time breathing. I was already suffocating. My face was turning violet—I couldn’t breathe.”

At the hospital, she heard someone say, “Put her on 2L of oxygen.”
Another voice: “Doc, no response.”
“Put her on 4L.”
“Doc, no change.”
Medical staff began arguing.
“Put her on 6L,” a doctor insisted.
Someone protested: “You know her lungs could explode.”

They also injected aminophylline into both her lungs to relax her muscles and allow airflow.

But a moment later—silence.

“I said, ‘What happened? Why did everything suddenly go quiet?’
It felt like—‘Where is everyone? Am I okay now?’”

She suddenly stood up and saw her sibling staring at the electrocardiogram monitor.

She called out to her sibling, urging them to go home because she was so tired.
But they didn’t respond.

“I said, ‘Why are you ignoring me? Look at this rude person! I’m talking to you!’”
She tried to tap her sibling, but her hand passed right through them.

She then heard her sibling sobbing, and when she looked at the monitor—she had flatlined.

“I looked at the bed where I was lying. I saw what looked like a silver cord connected to my navel. Then I felt like I was riding a very long, dark roller coaster. I exited into something I can’t describe—it wasn’t like what they say with harps and music.

No—what I felt was pure peace. Pure calmness.
I felt completely uplifted. It was like—‘Wow, this feels amazing.’”

She said she didn’t know where she was, but suddenly, a bright light approached her.

“I said, ‘What is that? I can’t see!’ There was no voice—but it was like telepathy. It was as if someone was talking directly to my mind.”

Then she heard, “Are you ready to come with me, my child?”
She answered, “Yes, yes! I want to go with you.”

She began to cry—not out of fear, but because of the overwhelming love she felt.
“It was even more comforting than a hug from your child, more powerful than a hug from your mother or father.

I cried because I felt so immensely loved—by whatever that light was.”

She was ready to go with the light, but suddenly remembered something:
“Wait! I remembered something—I left my daughter behind.”

Then, a large screen appeared, showing her life in flashbacks—
her breakup with Vic Sotto, her mother, the death of a classmate.

She said it felt like she was in court.
“I said, ‘Just give me a chance—I just want to talk to my daughter for a moment.’ Because I felt like I was already moving on. I didn’t know where I was headed.”

Then she heard a sound, and at the end of the tunnel—she saw Danica, reaching her hand out to her.

“When I held her hand—I woke up in the hospital.
They were defibrillating me—shocking me to bring me back.”

Upon waking, she immediately asked for Danica, but her sibling said the child was just at home.

“I didn’t tell anyone about it because I thought they’d think I was crazy.”
She told her sibling about her NDE, but they didn’t believe her.

“I thought to myself, ‘See? People won’t be ready to understand this.’”

Dina said she was stunned when she saw the book Embraced by the Light at a bookstore—
because it mirrored exactly what she had experienced.

She then searched for a religion that resonated with her—exploring Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, the Quran, and New Age teachings—until she eventually became a Christian.

“We all have a purpose for why we’re alive in this world.
But we need to fulfill that purpose. We have to live it out,”
