Vilma Santos has come forward to defend her son Luis Manzano, courageously fighting for justice on his behalf. Allegedly, Edu Manzano is involved in Luis’s disappearance. It appears that only today, actress and politician Vilma Santos-Recto formally appeared in court after reportedly filing a case against her former husband, Edu Manzano.

According to Vilma’s lawyer, the legal documents are still in process, and they are preparing to pursue the case in court against Edu following the horrifying act he allegedly committed against their defenseless son. Vilma added that this is the only way to seek justice and uphold the rights of her son, considering what his stepfather had done.

According to the Santos family, they filed two charges against Edu due to the unjust actions he allegedly committed against Luis: child abuse and legitimate parricide. In connection to this, Edu may also face a civil case and be held liable to cover all hospital expenses and funeral bills (St. Peter Bills) incurred for Luis.

In the end, the Santos family pushed for full accountability and justice without compromise. Meanwhile, the news also reached Luis’s wife, Jessy Mendiola, who was reportedly devastated by what her husband’s stepfather had done to him. Because of this, Jessy also stood up to fight for Luis in the end.

Eventually, Jessy could no longer contain her emotions and faced the media to release a brief statement regarding the case they are now dealing with. According to her:

“Actually, till now I can’t believe that Daddy Edu could do such a thing to his own son. I know I don’t have the right to interfere in their family matters, but this time I need to seek justice for my husband—and he needs to be held accountable.”

However, in the world of showbiz, rumors have also spread about the Manzano family allegedly attempting to control the narrative and silence the issue, reportedly doing everything they could to convince the Santos family to withdraw the case against Edu. But in the end, the Santos family stood firm and bravely pursued the charges.
