Have Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson Broken Up?
Speculations are swirling on social media that Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson may have called it quits. Followers of the couple noticed that they no longer appear together in photos and videos on each other’s social media accounts—quite the opposite of before, when Gerald would regularly be seen at every family occasion, especially on Julia’s side.
Fans first took notice of Julia’s Instagram post in early April, showing that she was abroad seemingly on a solo trip. Gerald was noticeably absent from almost all the photos. Some would like to believe that Julia informed Gerald of her desire to travel alone, perhaps inspired by the idea that solo travel empowers women to become self-sufficient, make independent decisions, and boost self-worth and confidence while navigating unfamiliar places and making new friends.
However, since Julia returned to the Philippines, she has not posted any photos showing Gerald accompanying her, even during family events—such as her mother Marjorie Barretto’s recent birthday celebration held at their resort in Bulacan. Although Gerald did publicly greet Marjorie with a “Happy Birthday, Tita,” there was no visible acknowledgment from Marjorie, and Julia did not respond either.
This is highly unusual, especially since Gerald was always present at Barretto family events in the past. Because of this, many now believe that the couple has already broken up. Some fans suspect a third party might be involved in the alleged split. One netizen even commented that Gerald Anderson hasn’t changed—that he’s still a womanizer.
As of now, neither Julia Barretto nor Gerald Anderson has released a statement about the issue. The two have been in a relationship for over six years.
