Recently, Lotlot de Leon shared on her Instagram their visit to her mother, Nora Aunor. She referred to it as an “Advanced Mother’s Day.” While it wasn’t explicitly stated, according to Lotlot, she and her siblings had already planned among themselves to visit their mother, the late Superstar.

Whether there was an occasion or not, they had already made it a point to go to their mother’s resting place. Lotlot shared, “The other day, all of mommy’s children, including her grandchildren, talked and planned to visit her. Since we all live far from one another, we know we have to take turns visiting mommy.”

What’s heartwarming is that they made sure that there would be morning and afternoon shifts so that two people would be with their mother at all times.

However, one netizen caught attention after commenting on Lotlot’s post:
“You should have done that when the Superstar was still alive. Visiting someone when they’re gone is meaningless. She needed your care when she was still alive. But there was none.”

Other netizens also reacted:
One said, “I knew someone like this would show up—a self-righteous elder just trying to say something. It’s too late. She can’t feel your presence now.”

Another chimed in:
“Don’t be so judgmental. We don’t know what happened in their personal lives. Just be happy for them.”

Someone else asked, “Wait, are you a Noranian?” (referring to Nora’s loyal fans)
And another replied, “I’m not a Noranian. You don’t know anything, you’re just talking nonsense. Let’s not reopen the wounds they’re still dealing with after losing their mother.”

Meanwhile, many still can’t move on and continue to miss Ate Guy, the Superstar Nora Aunor. Even her old commercials—such as those with Liberty, where she appeared with her eldest daughter Lotlot de Leon—are being shared on social media by fans, particularly from the collection of Jojo de Vera.

Many were delighted by that commercial, as it clearly showed Nora’s natural sweetness as a mother. It felt authentic—not acted—between Ate Guy and Lotlot.

Truly, Lotlot was Nora’s first great love. That’s why their eventual separation carried such pain and a heavy sense of responsibility that Nora left on Lotlot’s shoulders.

Even so, Lotlot continues to show her love for her mother.
