After several months of rumors about an alleged cheating incident involving Bacolod City Congressman Alby Benitez, a case has finally been filed against him, along with the actress rumored to be his mistress, Ivana Alawi. The issue between Congressman Alby Benitez and vlogger-actress Ivana Alawi, along with Alby’s legal wife, Nicke Benitez, has now become a hot topic on social media.
For months, people have been talking about Ivana and Alby, especially since there are clips showing the two of them together, appearing to be in a romantic relationship. Due to the issues circulating online about their alleged affair, Alby’s wife, Nicke Benitez, decided to file a case accusing him of infidelity.
As a result, Ivana Alawi got dragged into the controversy by Nicke’s allegations. The public has been divided, unsure of whom to believe, especially after Ivana clarified in an interview that her being with Alby was strictly for work and had nothing to do with any romantic involvement.
Alby Benitez also denied having a relationship with Ivana Alawi. Despite this, Nicke Benitez still pursued the case, which prompted a response from Ivana and her fans. One of the so-called “showbiz insiders,” Christian Gaza, even came forward to defend Ivana Alawi.
Christian Gaza posted supposed “receipts” claiming that Nicke and Alby had actually been separated for 20 years. He also shared photos of other women Alby had been with since their separation. Because of this, Gaza argued that Ivana shouldn’t be included in the issue, since not only is the case meaningless, but Nicke Benitez’s actions appear to be a personal attack meant to destroy Ivana’s image in the showbiz industry.
In response, Ivana Alawi released a statement regarding the circulating rumors on social media, once again stressing that she has no romantic relationship with Alby Benitez. Furthermore, Alby’s son, Javi Benitez, also posted that the issues spreading online are false and nothing but fake news.
He even said that people should move on from the gossip on social media, calling it nothing more than “paid drama.”
