The female celebrity reportedly played a significant role in the group, with Alias Tutoy claiming she was always present at their meetings and could even be considered a key figure if anything happens. Although Alias Tutoy did not name the celebrity outright, many netizens quickly speculated that he was referring to Gretchen Barretto.
Her name was linked to the case due to her past criticisms of the Senate’s investigation into the missing sabungeros and her close relationship with gambling operator Atong Ang — someone she once referred to as “The Bong Kingpin.” It’s worth recalling the heated exchange between Gretchen Barretto and Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa regarding the e-sabong business of her friend Atong Ang.
Following the Senate’s invitation for Atong Ang to testify about the missing sabungeros, Gretchen couldn’t hold back her reaction and criticized what she described as Senator Bato’s “grandstanding.”
