In an Instagram post, he admitted that he experienced depression after suffering a serious injury while playing basketball.

Carlos Agassi was once well-known and popular in the showbiz industry. He was an actor, model, and host. He shared, “Three years ago, I had an ACL, MCL, and meniscus injury because someone tripped me during a basketball game. He didn’t even apologize. My wife was furious. She wanted to hit him, but I said, ‘Let it go, love. Leave it to God.’”

However, it was after his successful operation that he realized who his true friends were and who genuinely loved him.

“Depression is real, especially after the operation when you can’t walk, stand, or even go to the bathroom to pee. I was extremely depressed. I cried for weeks and even wished to disappear from this world,” Carlos admitted.

That’s why he considers himself lucky to have his wife, Serina Agassi, who stood by him during his recovery and never left his side despite how difficult things got.

“I’m lucky to have my wife. She’s heaven-sent, and I thank God so much,” said Carlos. “She even helped me lift heavy weights. She never abandoned me,” he added.

In the end, he shared that not everyone around you will stay loyal. You’ll only realize your worth to people when they no longer benefit from you.

“The ones who stay are the ones who truly love you—as a friend, a family member, or a partner,” Carlos said.

Carlos commented, “This is the ‘before’—when I was 18 in 1998. I shaved because my role required it, inspired by my idol. The ‘after’ is me at 45. We will all age, and beauty shouldn’t just be on the outside but also from within.”
