In his heartfelt message to his “Pupoy,” John expressed:

“It’s still hard to accept that our beloved Superstar and National Artist is gone.
My greatest hurt is that I was not able to see her one last time before she was put into the ground. By that time, her coffin was already sealed.
I have so many regrets in my life, but she never gave me any reason for regret.
She was the one good thing in my life. She gave me purpose. She gave me hope. She gave me love—unconditional love.
Not one night or day passes by that I don’t think about her.”

John’s direct message to the Superstar:

“My Pupoy, this hurts so much. I hope we see each other again soon.
I told you, wherever you go, I will follow. I’m your shadow.
God bless you and thank you for the many years you gave me happiness. I don’t know if I’ll be able to smile again.
I love you so much—more than my life. I am hopelessly devoted to you.
Goodnight, my love. I hope I’ll see you again soon. God will take care of everything.
I love you forever and beyond. I’ll never forget you.
God bless you, Miss Nora Aunor. My one and only true love, my soulmate. I miss you so much.”
