This became even more evident when Lotlot shared during a tribute night for Nora Aunor that the actress had been away from the Philippines for eight years. During that time, the responsibility of taking care of her siblings fell on Lotlot. Currently, Lotlot de Leon is remembering and honoring the goodness of her mother, Nora, as she tries to show netizens how generous and loving Nora Aunor truly was as a mother.

From her Instagram post, Lotlot shared that she once had a show called Lotlot and Friends, which was produced by none other than her mother, Nora Aunor, and aired on RPN 9. Here’s what she wrote in the caption:

“I remember this so well. Ma’am (Nora) called for a meeting at our then-house in Jacksonville, Greenhills, because she wanted to produce a variety show for RPN 9. Everyone working behind the scenes were her most trusted people who had also worked on the Superstar show. Mom was the one who conceptualized everything, including the show’s title Lotlot and Friends. She was excited and wanted me, Ian, Matet, and my cousin Ate Marilyn Villamayor to be the show’s frontliners.
The show ran for a couple of years until I had my baby, Janine. This show brings back so many good memories, valuable training, and experience that I still carry with me today. Thank you, Mommy, for always believing in me.”

Speaking of Marilyn Villamayor, many people have been asking why no close relatives seemed to attend the wake of the so-called “Superstar.” For context, Marilyn Villamayor is Nora Aunor’s niece and also known for her beautiful voice in the Philippine showbiz industry.

So, how is Marilyn doing now? Marilyn is currently in the U.S. working as a nurse, and she seems to be doing very well there. Many have been wondering about her whereabouts, especially after Lotlot posted memories of Lotlot and Friends, where Marilyn was also featured.

There was a video posted by Marilyn on her Instagram in March (of December 2024), showing her singing in the U.S. In the comments, Lotlot de Leon wrote:

Marilyn replied, “I do. I miss you, cousin.”

Marilyn replied again, “Happy holidays.”

It appears that Marilyn wasn’t able to attend the wake of the Superstar, Nora Aunor. However, the cousins clearly have a good and loving relationship.
