Richard Yap Breaks Silence About His Child with Heart Evangelista

At last, actor Richard Yap has spoken out regarding the controversial issue surrounding his alleged paternity of Heart Evangelista’s unborn child. In an exclusive interview, Richard confirmed that he is indeed the father of the child Heart is carrying and shared his thoughts amid intense criticism and ongoing legal issues.

“Yes, the child Heart is carrying is mine. I will neither hide nor deny the truth. I will take responsibility — not as an actor, but as a father,” Richard declared, visibly emotional yet firm. According to him, he understands the gravity of the situation and its impact on those involved, especially Heart and their future child.

He emphasized that he did not run away or hide, but chose to remain silent at first to carefully consider every step he would take. Richard also stated that he is willing to cooperate with any legal process and is open to talking with Senator Chiz Escudero to maintain respect and peace, especially for the child’s well-being.

“This may not be the life plan everyone expected, but I will ensure that our child will be surrounded with love and support,” he added.

Meanwhile, public reactions have been mixed. Some criticized the actor for allegedly being a “homewrecker,” while others expressed support for his sense of responsibility.

The public now eagerly awaits a response from Heart’s camp, as well as the possibility of a conversation between the three main people involved in this issue. Despite the controversy, Richard clarified that he has no intention of destroying anyone’s family or reputation.

He revealed that his relationship with Heart began during a time of personal confusion and loneliness for both of them, and that things simply unfolded in a way they did not plan. “We didn’t intend for this to happen, but we also couldn’t hide the truth. What’s most important now is the child’s welfare,” Richard said.

He also called on the public not to judge too quickly and to allow the truth to come out in the right way and at the right time.
