Rufa Gutierrez and Herbert Bautista Reportedly Break Up
If you recall, last year Rufa Gutierrez revealed the real status of her relationship with Herbert Bautista in a YouTube interview with Karen Davila. She also mentioned that their love story began when they worked together on the series The House Arrest of Us, which starred former couple Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
They managed to keep their relationship private for five years. And now, after those five years, Rufa Gutierrez and Herbert Bautista are reportedly no longer speaking and are going through a rough patch in their relationship. This was admitted by the beauty queen-actress herself when she guested on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, during the celebration of Independence Day.
Tito Boy first asked Rufa if she and the former Quezon City mayor were already living together. Her direct answer was:
“I’ve never lived with a person. I don’t believe in live-in arrangements,” she explained.
She added, “I think one of the reasons why my relationships last is because there’s space. You get excited to see each other. But if you wake up next to the same person every day, it’s like—oh my gosh!”
Following that, Rufa revealed that she and Herbert are currently going through something, which is why they’re not speaking at the moment.
“We’re going through a bump right now and we’re not speaking. So let’s see if that bump will last or if we’ll speak again—I don’t know,” Rufa shared.
She added, “Well, I have been busy also, and he has other things that he should take care of as well, when it comes to personal matters. So maybe this is also a good time, because it’s been five years since we first met again on the set of a project we did. So five years—this space might help us see whether we should continue or not.”
