A former classmate of Marian Rivera from high school and college recently opened up about an incident where the actress allegedly confronted her, poured soft drinks on her head, and slapped her.

🎵 This story is currently trending on social media as the issue between actress Marian Rivera and her former schoolmate, Ivy Manzonbo, resurfaces. This comes after reports circulated that Ivy had already forgiven Marian for their past issues. The news gained traction following Marian’s recent interview with Karen Davila, where the actress said, “I’ve forgiven everyone who hurt me,” a line that sparked renewed attention on her past.

According to circulating reports and blind items, the two allegedly had a falling out during their school days. A source close to Ivy said that Ivy no longer harbors ill feelings toward Marian and has long since moved on. When asked if she had reconciled with all the girls she once fought with, Marian reportedly replied:
“Seems like it. When I see them, they feel awkward because they know why I acted that way before. But now when I see them, I try to be civil. There was even a time when I initiated and told someone, ‘I forgive you.’”
When asked if she really said that, Marian affirmed it:
“Yes. She was shocked. My point is, I’m so happy with the blessings God has given me. There’s no reason to hold on to bitterness. I’ve let go. In my mind, I just say, ‘Learn your lesson, girl. Don’t do that to others again.’ But you know, it feels good not to have enemies and to forgive those who wronged you.”

However, some questioned why Marian is the one “forgiving,” when in fact, she should be the one apologizing to the people she hurt. Ivy recounted that Marian once pulled her hair and poured soft drinks on her during high school. Here’s her story:

“I just saw this post from Hampas Lupa Bodies 4.0. Spill the tea! Don’t worry, I’ve gotten over it. Hahaha. I just laughed at what she said.
This happened during our second year in high school at SFA CS Bayanan. Marian poured soft drinks on me and pulled my hair after hearing a false rumor. In the end, we both ended up in the guidance office and got suspended for a week. We were punished by cleaning the classroom and got removed from the varsity team.

I forgive you, Marian Rivera Gracia. The problem was, she easily believed in gossip. She used to be a good friend. We even sat beside each other since our last names were close alphabetically. We were in the same dance group and varsity. Then a classmate badmouthed me to her and she believed it. She confronted me carrying soft drinks in a plastic bag. Our parents were even called in. Hahaha.

It even happened again in college at DLSU-D. She barged into the classroom once, and another time we bumped into each other in a building and I told her, ‘This issue started in high school, and it’s still your issue now?’ Crazy.
Okay, Marites (gossips), come in. I’ve posted it so you won’t have to ask if it’s legit. Classmates and witnesses, come forward. Hahaha. But we’re okay now. The last time we saw each other was at GMA when I was with Six Cycle Mind and Calla Lily at SOP. That was during her Marimar days.
By the way, that picture came from her Showbiz Central interview.”

After Ivy’s post, it drew mixed reactions from netizens. Many didn’t like what she did and questioned why she responded to Marian’s interview with Karen Davila when Marian didn’t even mention her.

In a follow-up post, Ivy wrote:
“Okay, this will be my last post to bring peace to the chaotic world of social media. I shouldn’t have shared it. I should’ve kept it to myself. It was never my intention to destroy Marian Rivera. She’s a powerhouse in showbiz. Nothing can bring her down. My apologies if anyone got hurt or thought I was chasing fame. Maybe I was, okay, but I accept whatever you want to say. But I never intended to get famous because of this. For what? Sorry to those who got angry or triggered by my post. I’ve received so many chats and comments, I can’t read them all.”
