Some people continue to believe that the award-winning TV host and actress was hexed or cursed, which is why her illnesses haven’t healed. Many have urged Kris to consult a traditional healer or undergo an exorcism, suggesting that evil or dark entities might be clinging to her body and affecting her health.

In Kris’s latest post, her body appeared visibly frail, and it was clear she was struggling in her fight against her ailments. Numerous netizens expressed concern for her health, especially after a video went viral showing someone performing a traditional tawas (folk diagnostic ritual), claiming that a curly-haired woman had placed a curse on the actress.

One commenter wrote, “Why don’t you bring Kris to a faith healer? Maybe it could help.” Another said, “She should see an exorcist priest like Father Darwin Gitgano—he’s healed many people with serious illnesses. She might be under a spell. She’s like a candle slowly melting away.”

Others encouraged her to consult an albularyo (folk healer), saying there was nothing to lose by trying. “I really think something—or someone—is weakening her. Maybe it’s jealousy or an old enemy,” one netizen added.

Messages also poured in from her supporters, promising to continue praying for Kris’s recovery. Some even offered prayers to “Sen Padre,” known as a healing priest. Meanwhile, tarot card reader Jovi Vargas dismissed the supernatural explanation. In a vlog by Kumelendes, Jovi was asked about rumors that Kris might be cursed.

Jovi said, “Her illness isn’t connected to anything supernatural. It’s a real disease—not the result of witchcraft. She just needs to find the right treatment. But from what I can sense, her body is slowly giving in.”

Juvy added, “To all those who love our friend Kris, please keep praying. Prayer helps a lot. And most of all, she needs to avoid stress—that’s what’s most important.”

In an interview by Ogie Diaz with visionary Rudy Baldwin, Kris’s condition—while she’s still in the U.S. for treatment—was discussed. Rudy said, “People are declaring that Kris won’t make it, but I see a woman who’s still fighting, no matter how hard things are. She’s holding on to life. Even if she’s made preparations, there’s nothing wrong with exploring other avenues of healing.”

“I know she’s getting medical help, but why only look at one side of healing?” Rudy continued. “Sometimes doctors aren’t the only ones who can help. There’s no harm in consulting someone else.”

When Ogie asked if Rudy could be the one to help her, Rudy replied, “Not necessarily a faith healer. I just wish I could meet her in person so I could tell exactly what’s going on. People keep wishing ill on Kris, but that’s not the energy around her. And all those rumors and history about her illness—they need to move on. Can’t they see she has children? She’ll get better.”

Rudy added, “She doesn’t even have to pay me—just ten pesos is fine. I need a connection from her to restore my energy because treating her would require a lot. To prove what I see, I’ll ask her to look in a mirror after washing her face with a certain kind of water. When she looks in the mirror, she’ll see who’s behind all this.”
