Tied up in a sack filled with sand before being thrown into Taal Lake.
That’s what was done to the missing cockfighters, according to Alias Totoy, the accused who now wants to testify in the case. He also released a video showing the alleged binding of the missing sabong (cockfighting) master agent before he was killed. Watch my exclusive report.
In the video held by Alias Totoy — who claims to be directly involved in the case of the missing sabungeros — you can see a man seemingly bound inside a vehicle while being questioned by several men.
“I used to be a master agent there, sir,” said the bound man.
His face is not visible because it is covered with a mask.
But according to Alias Totoy, the man is Ricardo “Jonjon” Lasco, one of the 34 cockfighting agents who have been missing for four years.
Lasco, 44 years old, was a master agent who was abducted by at least ten armed men from his home in San Pablo, Laguna in August 2021. As a master agent, Lasco was granted a franchise to run online cockfighting. Bettors would place their bets through him, and he would earn a commission alongside the franchise giver.
According to Alias Totoy, this video is part of the evidence he plans to turn over to authorities any day now.
Totoy previously stated that based on the orders of someone he hasn’t named yet, he paid a group to kill Lasco after accusing him of pirating an online sabong broadcast. Lasco had reportedly started his own operation offering higher payouts with less effort, which cut into their profits.
Sales dropped, so they went after him.
The video of Lasco was sent by the group as proof that they had captured him.
Totoy claims that one of the team leaders who abducted Lasco gave him the video.
“What is the background of those men? Were they civilians or in uniform?”
“They were in uniform.”
“Soldiers or police?”
“Police.”
“They’ll also be charged?”
“Yes, they’re part of the case. They’re a group.”
According to Totoy, after abducting Lasco and filming him as proof, he was immediately executed.
“He was loaded into a vehicle, interrogated while being driven around, and then killed.”
“When was that video taken?”
“I can’t remember. But it was right after the CCTV footage of him being taken — that’s when they started filming in the car.”
Totoy added that they didn’t just pay PHP 2 million to the group that killed Lasco.
The group later asked for more money to “finish the job.”
“I personally paid them PHP 2 million to do it.”
“But that wasn’t enough,” he said, “because many people were involved.”
Just like with the other missing sabungeros, Totoy claimed Lasco’s body was tied inside a sack filled with sand to make sure it wouldn’t float — then dumped into a fish pond near Taal Lake.
Lasco’s brother has already watched the video and confirmed that the man tied up was indeed Jonjon.
Now that there’s a development in the case, the family is appealing to the government to protect the witnesses and continue the investigation.
Taal Lake in Batangas was mentioned as a potential dumping site for the bodies.
