Robin Padilla’s Viral Scandal:

A video is currently trending and going viral on social media showing Senator Robin Padilla allegedly kissing two women in the Netherlands. According to the circulating video, this incident happened during a gathering of OFWs (Overseas Filipino Workers) and Filipino supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte, who is currently detained in The Hague, Netherlands.

In the video clip seen on TikTok and Twitter, a woman is first seen taking a selfie with the actor-turned-public-servant, but the senator can suddenly be seen kissing the OFW on the cheek. The woman didn’t appear to be angry or offended by what Robin Padilla did. It remains unclear whether she was part of the senator’s entourage or one of the Filipino OFWs who came to the Netherlands to show support for Duterte.

In addition, another Filipina who joined the DDS (Diehard Duterte Supporters) gathering in The Hague was also kissed by Robin after he noticed that she seemed drowsy at the time.

For Robin’s supporters, they see nothing wrong with him kissing the two Filipinas, saying it was all in good fun. They argue that the senator’s bashers are just overthinking the situation, and they’re confident that his wife, Mariel Rodriguez, won’t be mad since she knows her husband is often placed in such situations.

Here are some netizen reactions to the viral kissing video of the actor and senator:

“It must be nice to be a senator for Duterte. Just do it for the country because of money, tolerate it you voters out there—for Kuya B** and Duterte only.”

“With that crowd, it’s hard. What did you promise the country?”

“What do you think? Would you still vote for him?”

“Hey, why don’t you actually work? All talk.”

“The people’s money is being wasted on you.”

“And then Mariel will say she’s the only one. Oh Mariel, come on.”

“Most people are really upset about what happened to PRRD. Here comes Robin. If you don’t have a solid contribution to Duterte’s cause, just go home. Remember, your salary as a senator comes from the people. Shame on you.”

Meanwhile, on his Facebook page, Robin Padilla posted a video with some of our OFW countrymen who continue to support Duterte. In the caption, he wrote that our heroic kababayans came from different parts of the world using their own hard-earned money abroad to express their strong emotions regarding what happened to former president Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
