Married His Mistress for 10 Years Without a Child, My Ex-Husband Came Back to Demand Our Son – The DNA Result Made My Ex-Mother-in-Law Faint

“So many women were willing to bear his child, yet none ever got pregnant. How come you got pregnant after only a year of knowing him? This child definitely isn’t his!” she said.

I’m nearly 35 now and have one son. Our lives had been stable until one day, my ex-husband suddenly came back wanting to reconcile and reclaim our child. After refusing him several times, I finally decided to tell him the whole truth.

It all started years ago. My biological father was addicted to gambling and ended up borrowing a large sum of money from his family. Desperate and unable to repay the debt, my father used me to settle it. At that time, I was only 27, still focused on pursuing my education and career, but I had no choice but to marry into that family to help pay off my father’s debt.

My ex-husband was a wealthy heir, known for his extravagant lifestyle and womanizing. Though we had only just met, he admitted he was captivated by my beauty and immediately wanted to marry me. However, his mother was against the idea. She didn’t want him to marry me; she only agreed to bring me in as a maid to work off the debt.

But because her son insisted on marrying me, she reluctantly agreed to the wedding.

After we got married, my husband gave up his flirtatious ways for a while and focused on our family. We had our first son not long after, and he was overjoyed.

At first, everything seemed to be going smoothly, but my mother-in-law’s joy quickly turned into suspicion. She said:

“Impossible. So many beautiful, wealthy women have surrounded my son. So many have been willing to bear his child, yet none ever got pregnant. And now you—after only knowing him for a year—are suddenly pregnant? That child can’t possibly be his.”

Because of this, right after my son was born, she demanded a DNA test. She assigned my husband’s secretary to handle it and ordered that the results be delivered promptly. When the test confirmed a 99.99% father-child biological relationship, she finally acknowledged the child and accepted me as her daughter-in-law.

However, our marriage only lasted three more years. My husband eventually returned to his old ways—chasing other women, staying out late, and even openly bringing women home.

The breaking point came when my mother-in-law actively arranged for him to be matched with the daughter of one of her business partners. She boldly declared in front of both of us:

“A child born to an educated mother will definitely be better, smarter than one born to an uneducated, poor woman.”

By that point, our son had grown increasingly distant from her—he disliked her personality, refused her attention, and often avoided her altogether.

Realizing her true intentions, I filed for a mutual divorce: I agreed to leave with nothing—not a single penny—in exchange for full custody of our son.

Hoping to have children with his future wives or lovers, my husband readily agreed.

The day I walked out of that house with my son in my arms, I felt as if I had escaped from prison.

Since then, I’ve raised my son as a single mother.

And yet, as I mentioned earlier, just when our lives had become happy and stable, my ex-husband suddenly showed up. He confessed that ever since my son and I left, nothing in his life had gone right. Despite having married three more times and having relationships with multiple women, not a single one had given him a child.

That’s why he came to find me—to ask to be part of his son’s life:

“Don’t worry—I’m not trying to take him away from you. I just want him to know who his father is, and to bring him back as the rightful heir to my family’s legacy.”

At first, I didn’t clearly explain the reason but firmly refused. He resorted to a more aggressive tactic—hiring thugs to take my child away. That’s when I had no choice but to tell him the truth.

“The child is not yours. If you don’t believe me, go and get a DNA test yourself. The result from back then was manipulated—I paid off your secretary to keep it quiet.”

Both my husband and mother-in-law were stunned by my revelation. The two of them immediately went for a DNA test, and the results confirmed what I said. But the tragedy didn’t stop there. When my ex-husband decided to get tested further, he found out that he was infertile and could never have children.

Shock after shock drove my ex-husband to drown himself in alcohol day and night, while my ex-mother-in-law couldn’t handle the grief and has been bedridden for months now.
