In a terrifying turn of events, Philippine megastar Sharon Cuneta reportedly suffered a sudden health scare aboard a flight, leaving passengers and crew in panic—and her daughter, KC Concepcion, in tears.

The incident allegedly occurred during a long-haul flight bound for Los Angeles, where Sharon was set to attend a private family gathering and a charity event. According to eyewitnesses, everything seemed normal until midway through the flight when Sharon began experiencing severe chest discomfort and dizziness.

Flight attendants rushed to assist the actress-singer as KC Concepcion, who was seated beside her mother, was seen visibly panicking and crying uncontrollably. A call was immediately made for any medical professional on board, and a doctor who happened to be a fellow passenger rendered initial aid.

“We thought the worst. She closed her eyes and clutched her chest. KC was crying and holding her hand. It was very emotional,” shared a witness from the flight.

The plane made an emergency landing at the nearest airport, where medical personnel were already waiting. Sharon was immediately taken to a hospital for urgent care. Fortunately, initial reports from her team later confirmed that the issue was not life-threatening, but she had to remain under observation due to extreme exhaustion and stress.

KC took to social media shortly after the incident, posting a photo of her holding her mother’s hand with the caption:

“Please pray for Mama. I’ve never been this scared in my life.”

Fans across the country and the world flooded KC’s post with messages of support, prayers, and love for the Megastar.

As of the latest update, Sharon is recovering well, and doctors have advised her to take a break from her work schedule and undergo a complete health evaluation.

It was announced last month that Concepcion has replaced Toni Gonzaga in “Asian Persuasion,” to be directed by Tony Award-winning producer Jhett Tolentino.
