Veteran actor Edu Manzano has made it clear that he no longer wants to get married and have children.

Former couple Edu Manzano and Maricel Soriano recently reunited on the latter’s vlog.

Among the things they discussed was remarriage. Maricel Soriano asked Edu Manzano if he was ready to get married and have children again.

“No! I don’t want to!” Edu Manzano said bluntly.

Maricel seemed to be wondering why Edu refused to get married again when he already had a girlfriend.

“You don’t want to? Why?”

“I’m 67!” the actor replied again.

“So, what!” Maricel said again.

Meanwhile, when Ogie Diaz was contacted, Edu Manzano and Cherry Pie Picache confirmed their separation to their source.

One of the reasons netizens speculated that the two had broken up was because they were no longer sharing sweet photos on their respective Instagram accounts.

FOR the first time, award-winning actress Cherry Pie Picache has openly admitted that she and Edu Manzano have truly broken up.

But the Kapamilya star immediately insisted that even though she is without her boyfriend now, her Christmas and New Year celebrations will not be cold. She said that she and Edu broke up a long time ago but she said that their friendship still remains because they parted ways amicably. “We’re very good friends, he’s a very good person, very good friend and you know, we will always love each other. So, that’s it,” Ms. Pie assured us when we and several other members of the press caught up yesterday at the grand mediacon of the movie “Firefly.”

“Firefly” is one of the 10 entries in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 from GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs where Cherry Pie is one of the cast.

The award-winning actress did not want to give any more details about her breakup with Edu, but what is important is that the actor and she maintained their friendship.

But she admitted that moving on from her breakup with Edu was not easy, which is why she is grateful that she has overcome that stage in her life. How about her Christmas celebration? “I wonder what, right, at my age now, I cannot depend my happiness anymore on somebody else. Besides, I must be whole or whatever or complete if I fall in love again.”

She said that her heart is still open to new love even though she has failed several times when it comes to relationships.

“Why not? But while you are not happy with yourself, especially after the pandemic, right, self-love, you can no longer depend on your happiness or your significance as a person to other people,” she said.

Ms. Pie is getting a reaction to the sudden passing of veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez, whom she has worked with several times.

“Actually, I haven’t posted yet. If there’s any senior actor who I was a little, you know, I can say that you know, I got kinda close with, it’s Uncle Ron,” said Cherry Pie.

She added that she is not yet ready to post a message for the late actor because she still can’t believe her friend is dead.

Meanwhile, the actress called on the public to go back to theaters and enjoy the 10 films participating in the MMFF 2023, and asked viewers to prioritize “Firefly.”

“Help us. So, just the first day, just the second day, watch Firefly,” the actress pleaded.

Cherry Pie is also happy that she is making a film under GMA Pictures again after more than a decade, “This is not my first time with GMA Films but I am grateful, I feel really grateful that I was included in the film because for one, the script is beautiful.”

She admitted that she was excited to work with GMA again because she didn’t know anyone very well but the entire production was so warm and welcoming. “Firefly” directed by Zig Dulay is showing on December 25. It also stars Alessandra de Rossi, Euwenn Mikaell, Ysabel Ortega, Miguel Tanfelix, Max Collins and many others with the special participation of Dingdong Dantes.
