President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. reportedly paid up to ₱800,000 for the hospital bill of the late National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts and Superstar Nora Aunor, according to veteran showbiz insider/columnist Cristy Fermin.

According to Cristy, who discussed with co-hosts Romel Chika and Wendell Alvarez in their showbiz-oriented vlog “Showbiz Now Na,” the real person who paid for Ate Guy’s hospital bills was none other than President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.

It can be recalled that Cristy previously discussed that based on his sources, even before the surgery, Nora approached politician former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson to sell a land in Iriga.

Chavit reportedly did not accept this but said that he would be the one to pay for the showbiz icon’s hospital bills. However, there are also versions that Ate Guy was helped by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), one of whose directors is singer Imelda Papin.

But Cristy said that she spoke to Imelda herself and she denied that PCSO was behind the payment of Nora’s hospital bills.

The Superstar’s hospital bills were paid by PBBM. According to Cristy, when Imelda told PBBM that she would be the one to arrange for the payment of Nora’s hospital bills, the President said that he would be the one to pay for it.

“Here’s the story. Who, my son, really paid the hospital bill?” Cristy asked Imelda.

Imelda replied, “When I spoke with President Bongbong Marcos, I told him ‘President, I’ll take care of Nora’s hospital bill. ‘No, no, no. I’ll answer that. I’ll answer that.’ So President Bongbong Marcos paid Ms. Nora Aunor’s hospital bill, not PCSO. Ms. Imelda Papin didn’t say anything about PCSO paying the hospital bill…” Cristy continued.

In total, the President paid for Nora’s hospital bills totaled ₱800k, which was deducted due to several discounts.

The President immediately contacted Medical City, the hospital where Nora was taken, for the aforementioned hospital bill.

Meanwhile, there has been no reaction, response, or statement of confirmation regarding this from PBBM or the Palace.
