Andrea del Rosario and Daisy Reyes Named as Alleged Mothers of Congressman Albee Benitez’s Children, According to His Wife Niki Benitez

A controversial scandal has shocked the public this month after Dominick “Nikki” Lopez Benitez, estranged wife of Bacolod City Mayor and Congressman-elect Alfredo “Albee” Benitez, exposed a series of alleged abuses, abandonment, and infidelity throughout their more than three-decade-long relationship.

Last month, Niki filed a complaint citing violations of Republic Act 9262, or the Violence Against Women and Their Children Act (VAWC), in which she accused Albee of failing to fulfill his obligation to provide support and of committing repeated acts of infidelity with various women — including popular actress and vlogger Ivana Alawi. She also detailed the devastating impact this had on her mental and physical health.

According to Niki, ever since Ivana Alawi came into the picture, Albee stopped giving her the monthly support amounting to Php 2,000 starting in December 2024.

“Since December 2024, Albee has been remiss in his obligation to provide support to me,” Niki stated in her complaint.

Niki also claimed she stopped working as a flight attendant at Continental Airlines back in 1992 at Albee’s request, as part of their marital arrangement. In her affidavit, she explicitly named Ivana Alawi as one of her husband’s alleged mistresses. According to her, photos of Albee and Ivana spread online, and she even received messages from people claiming to have seen the two together — including while traveling abroad with Ivana’s family.

“Photos of him and Ivana were everywhere. People kept messaging me with stories about seeing them together,” she said.
“When I confronted Albee, he didn’t even deny it. He just told me not to worry and said his people were ‘working on it.’”

But Ivana wasn’t the only woman Niki named. According to her, another long-standing issue in their marriage was Albee’s children with other women. Back in 2004, Niki said she agreed to a voluntary property split after discovering that Albee had a child with former beauty queen and actress Daisy Reyes — a fact Albee himself confirmed in legal documents.

In 2009, rumors also reached Niki about actress and former vice mayor Andrea del Rosario. She said she only confirmed it last year when Albee allegedly admitted in a psychological report that he had a child with Andrea as well.

“Each time I discovered he was involved with another woman, I found myself lost, deeply hurt, emotionally and psychologically drained,” Niki said.

As part of her evidence, Niki submitted medical records showing the deterioration of her mental and physical health, including the worsening of her diverticulitis which led to her hospitalization in December.

“My emotional turmoil was compounded by Albee’s actions. It became a painful pattern.”

Niki also claimed that Albee manipulated the legal system to twist the narrative. He filed an annulment case in August 2024, following what she called years of emotional abuse.

She strongly denied Albee’s claim that they had been separated since 2011. According to her, Albee continued to live with her at their Forbes Park home throughout his term as Congressman from 2010 to 2019 and as Mayor from 2022 to 2025.

“There is a limit to what a woman can endure. My attempts to resolve our marital issues have been in vain.”

On Albee Benitez’s side, his camp insisted that despite the judicial dissolution of their property regime in 2004, he continued to provide substantial support to Niki and her family for over two decades. This included transferring multimillion-peso properties under her name, such as houses in Forbes Park and Dasmariñas Village, condominium units, luxury vehicles, and shares in publicly listed companies — all legally registered under Niki.

His camp claimed that Niki’s motive in filing the case was to maintain access to Albee’s wealth and assets.

“This case was filed shortly after Mayor Benitez initiated annulment proceedings in 2024, raising serious doubts about the complainant’s motives,” their statement read.

Some observers believe that Niki’s decision to expose the scandal publicly may be part of a strategy to preserve her claim to the properties, businesses, and wealth accumulated during their marriage — especially now that they’re in the middle of legal proceedings.
