For Danica Sotto-Pingris, she is not the only one who can be considered the binding force that unites her siblings and keeps them close to each other. She said that Pauleen Luna, the wife of her Daddy Vic Sotto, is also her partner.

In the Updated with Nelson Canlas podcast, Danica Sotto admitted that one of the possible reasons why she is considered the binding force of her siblings is because she is the eldest. She said that her Daddy often orders her to contact her siblings during celebrations or gatherings.

“I am the one that daddy would tell me like, ‘Oh Danica, tell your siblings it’s my birthday or we’re having dinner,’ like that. Then I would also make it a point to somehow reach out to them too,” she said.

“It doesn’t seem to make them feel like they have an off day or that they’re trying as much as possible to be okay, that feeling. Maybe because I’m the eldest. I think it’s my job. At the same time I love them so much,” she continued. But Danica clarified that she can’t take all the credit. She also wants to acknowledge Pauleen Luna’s efforts to keep them all connected.

“When she married my Dad, she really stepped up. I can really see… sometimes she’s really like, ‘Okay, let’s have dinner. Dinner at your Dad’s place. Let’s celebrate Oyo’s birthday. Let’s do this,’” Danica recalled.

Danica also said that even though Vic and Pauleen have their own children, they still don’t forget to plan dinners or celebrations for their older siblings. Here, Danica also noted the “great job” her Daddy did.

“He can just ignore us, we’re old. But she [Pauleen] is really, one, I guess I can say she’s the binding force,” said the actress.

Danica also said that there’s no perfect family, but you can “be where it’s going to be okay.”

“Because, you know, with so much going on in the world, what we have is better, just be happy, right?” said Danica.

Regarding her mommy Dina Bonnevie’s relationship with Pauleen, Danica admitted that even though they’re not close, they’re both civil.

Danica also recalled that last Mother’s Day, Dina even wished Pauleen Vic a happy birthday, and said that Pauleen is the same way with her mommy.

“Because Mama D, the grandchildren call her. Actually, even Tali. She knows, Mama D,” said Danica.
