It’s still hard to accept that our beloved Superstar and National Artist is gone.
My greatest sorrow is that I wasn’t able to see her one last time before she was laid to rest. By the time I arrived, her coffin had already been sealed.
I have many regrets in life, but she never gave me a reason to regret anything.
She was the one good thing in my life. She gave me purpose. She gave me hope. She gave me love—unconditional love.
Not a day or night goes by that I don’t think of her.
My Pupoy. It hurts so much. I hope we’ll see each other again soon.
As I told you before, wherever you go, I will follow. I am your shadow.

God bless you, and thank you for the many years of happiness you gave me.
I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to smile again.
I love you so much—more than life itself. I’m hopelessly devoted to you.
Good night, my love. I hope I’ll see you again soon.
God will take care of everything now. I’ll love you forever and beyond.
I’ll never forget you. God bless you, Miss Nora Aunor—my one true love.
My soulmate. I miss you so much.

These were the heartfelt words of John Rendez.
It will be remembered that when Lotlot de Leon spoke during her mother’s wake, she said it was finally a moment they could have their mother to themselves.

John Rendez spent 33 years of his life with the Superstar, Nora Aunor.
However, according to him, he wasn’t able to see her whole body one last time.

A photo shows that after everyone had gone home, it was John Rendez who remained, looking at Nora Aunor’s coffin at her final resting place. There, he bowed his head and cried.

According to John, he wasn’t allowed to see her, and he only saw the burial site once she had already been laid to rest.
Many sympathized with him, saying that he should have at least been given a final glimpse.
But perhaps because of the overwhelming grief and busyness of the family, they didn’t get to think about who else might need to say their final goodbyes at the Superstar’s grave.

John distanced himself for a while, and only approached after the ceremonies were over.
Unfortunately, he didn’t get to see the one he loved most at the very last moment.

John Rendez also shared that once Nora Aunor’s 40-day memorial passes, he will share his side of the story.
He also thanked Christopher Min for his beautiful words and tributes on his YouTube channel.
