ACTRESS Claudine Barretto is facing another issue against her brother Mito Barretto and is allegedly being threatened to spread the word that she is addicted to drugs.

This is one of the things the actress said in her interview on Direk Chaps Manansala and Jobert Sucaldito’s vlog uploaded last night on YouTube. The latter asked where her brother was coming from to threaten her.

I didn’t want to release this but when your life is being threatened or you reputation is being threatened and you (Direk Chaps and Jobert) saw (read) the messages.

“Lately I have been receiving calls so the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) was here earlier because I have been receiving calls but there is no number coming up but you can’t call me.“I’ve already sent cease and desist because I don’t want trouble so I’m scared for my life also and my children’s lives. Whether empty threats or not, I want to make sure that my children and I would be safe.

“I’m not saying this person is doing all of these but it’s very timely because it should be between the family so I’ve reached the point where I don’t want anybody to talk to me this way anymore, I’m not going to allow to be disrespected that’s why I allow cease and desist,” Claudine explained at length.

Jobert said that he read the messages allegedly sent to Claudine by his Kuya Mito, “I was shocked, I was sad because yes, there are so many allegations (or) accusations about you, being a drug addict, old issues about you being brought up as if there was gospel truth to this coming from a brother.

“That’s where I feel sad and I find it very tragic. It’s not being sad anymore because of you, where did it come from and how did it start? Is the Barretto saga ever over?” he said.

Claudine emphasized that the reason she spoke (for an interview) was because she was receiving threats.

“The only sin I committed was working with Gene Padilla for Hair Alchemist of Yumi Galangs, that was the only wrong thing I did, if that can be called wrong.

“I am the only one who educates my children. I am the one who single-handedly educates my children,” the actress clarified.

The reason for the trouble Claudine is facing now is because her Kuya Mito said that she spoke to Nanay Cristy Fermin who has the blogs “Showbiz Now Na” and “Cristy Ferminute.”

“I spoke to Nanay Cristy because we were meeting with Kuya Gene for a project,” Claudine insisted.

According to Jobert, the actress’s brother’s anger stemmed from what ‘Nay Cristy said that someone told her reliable source, “There is an issue that is why Marjorie (Barretto) is deaf because Dennis (Padilla) punched or kicked her when they were still together.

“Now someone came out and told ‘Nay Cristy that she mentioned on her program that Dennis did that because there was a reason. Because Marjorie slashed Dennis’ back so it was like instinct or automatic. And the source they are accusing of telling ‘Nay Cristy is Claudine.

“I spoke to ‘Nay Cristy and she said, she denied that it was Claudine, vehemently denied. But knowing ‘Nay Cristy and all media practitioners, we protect our sources, you really can’t say no matter how hard you try, she won’t really say her source. So, that’s the reason why you’re in trouble again?” Jobert said.

The actress immediately answered “yes” to Jobert’s question.

“That’s why, it’s me again? Is there no one else? Then here are the threats? It’s not a joke to say that you’re going to discredit me to Cristy Fermin and Ogie (Diaz)? Go ahead, what else can’t be said bad about me?” Claudine said in a sarcastic tone.

Additionally, “Everything has been thrown away, eh. You keep talking about my past I don’t live there anymore! I don’t understand and Mother Cristy herself said to give my number (to her brother) I will tell her myself (source).

Jobert inquired if Marjorie reached out to her youngest sibling about this issue, “No, no,” the actress said.

Based on the story, Marjorie told Kuya Mito about what happened and she said she didn’t like the incident and because ‘Nay Cristy had just talked to Claudine, that’s why their brother thought the story came from her youngest sibling.

Claudine explained to her brother that the story didn’t come from her and above all, she won’t side with Dennis for what he did to Marjorie, her sister, but the actress’s brother didn’t believe her.

In Marjorie’s previous interview with Ogie Diaz after Claudia Barretto’s wedding to Basti Lorenzo to clarify the issue of Dennis not taking her child to the altar, she mentioned that her ear drum was gone until Now he is suffering because Dennis hit him.

The mother of Julia, Claudia and Leon Barretto did not mention the reason why Dennis hit her, as long as they just fought.

‘Nay Cristy revealed to “SNN” what she found out that the reason Dennis hit Marjorie was because the actor slashed her back.

Going back to Claudine, she also mentioned that she and her brother Mito are okay and that whatever anger she has towards Dennis, her former brother-in-law, should not be taken to her youngest sibling.

When asked by Jobert if his older brother Mito has forgotten what Claudine has done during the time when she had projects left and right because everyone knows that the actress is generous to her siblings and nieces.

“Has all this been forgotten?” said Direk Chaps’ co-host.

“Yes. It got to the point where I have to remind them because they might have forgotten that once upon a time I sent my nieces and nephews to school, I paid their rent, I helped them with their businesses, I don’t want to scold them, eh.

“But sometimes when you’re so sick of talking, I feel like, ‘Hey, just reminding you that when you were down, I was there, when I was down, you didn’t do anything.’

Additionally, “This is going to court and I’ve already told my mom and brother Jayjay go ahead, they’re full support.”

And what Claudine would say to her brother, “Stop making me pay for something that you believe I was or for something you believe I’ve done before and stop scaring me that that’s what you’re going to reveal because you’ve already revealed everything.

“You haven’t proven anything! How many times has the court said, will you still question St Lukes, will you still question Hi-Precision (Diagnostic and Laboratory center)?

“What’s the point of telling me that I’m crazy, you want to put me in the psych ward (psychiatric ward) to get my money? What’s that? I should have done this before but this is now self-reservation.

“To all people, do not let anybody to steal your joy to make you believe that you are less,” the actress said.

The actress’s final words for her argument were, “Earlier I said blood is thicker than water, if you wanna bring back whatever all of you did to me before, go head! But don’t expect me to just sit back and accept this because I’m not the Claudine anymore.

“I am not Claudine that you can bully around no matter how old you are! Whether you are a brother, a sister, a grandfather or a grandmother, I don’t owe you anything! But you owe me a lot!

“I hope the day never comes when we have to write out bank checks because if you help, you shouldn’t be complaining! But if you forget, you threaten, don’t expect me to pay you back.

“Let (others) say I have no respect for my brother, yes, I have no respect. Respect is earned!” he said
