With the passing of the superstar Nora Aunor, many people have come forward to remember her—stories of kindness and generosity she extended to others have resurfaced. These are things she never wanted publicized, as it was her request that any help she gave remain private.

There came a time, however, when she was the one in need. But was it too late for everyone to help? In her time of need—when her life was already nearing its end—only a few were there to come to her aid.
Still, in her passing, so many have attested to how good of a person she truly was. One of them is former actress Monica Herrera, who shared her story of the superstar on Instagram.

She wrote:

“I was in shock and deeply saddened when I heard about the passing of the one and only Superstar, Nora Aunor. I will never forget the first time I met you—you came to my father’s wake to offer your condolences. We were all surprised. A real superstar came to visit us in our time of grief. You were so kind.”

She continued:

“The second time was at Chef & Brewer. I was shy then because I felt like I had gained weight. But I’ll never forget what you told me: ‘It’s okay even if you gain weight. You’re still beautiful.’ Ate Guy, you were amazing. So simple, so kind, and incredibly down-to-earth. I couldn’t help but be starstruck, but you were such a joy to talk to and be around. I was lucky, even if just for a moment, to have had the chance to spend time with you.
You were more than just a legend—you were kind, real, and full of heart.
Rest now, Ate Guy. You will be remembered, and your legacy will live on forever.”

Monica Herrera’s story touched many netizens, renewing their admiration for the Superstar. Some were amazed, while others commented on how sweet Nora Aunor truly was. Imagine—people were shocked by her presence when she visited them.
