Manila – Actress and entrepreneur KC Concepcion has once again stirred the public’s emotions after breaking her silence on her recent move to unfollow several members of her family on social media—including her stepfather, Senator Kiko Pangilinan.

In a recent interview posted on her official YouTube channel, KC addressed the speculations with raw honesty, saying she’s not angry, but healing.

“Sometimes, distance isn’t about hate. It’s about clarity,” she said, visibly holding back tears.

KC explained that her decision to unfollow certain family members wasn’t made out of spite, but rather part of her ongoing journey toward emotional independence. While she didn’t go into deep detail, she hinted at longstanding issues that were never truly resolved, particularly related to feeling out of place within her blended family.

“You can love people and still feel unseen. That’s what hurts the most. Hindi galit ang nararamdaman ko. It’s more of… lungkot. And I owe it to myself to step back and understand that.”

Fans quickly connected the dots, noting that KC has had a rocky relationship not only with her father, Gabby Concepcion, but also with her mother Sharon Cuneta and stepfather Kiko Pangilinan, despite her constant efforts to maintain peace.

It will be recalled that the mother and daughter also posted on their respective social media accounts about their reconciliation.

“Over the Holidays, we got to talk after two years,” Shawie said in Karen’s vlog.

Mega was honest in saying that KC and her half-siblings, including Kiko, are not yet ‘okay’. But she hopes that everything will be fine.

“There’s still things to work on in terms of her relationship with her siblings or her dad (Kiko), but we, we’re okay. So, we’ll get there. Nothing can be forced,” said Sharon.

“It’s a work in progress,” Kiko added, which Sharon agreed with.

“And he (Kiko) loves her so much,” Shawie said.

It will be remembered in 2023 when netizens noticed KC unfollowing Kiko as well as Frankie, who is the eldest child of Kiko and Sharon.

Until KC admitted this in an interview with Cristy Fermin and said that she would rather have peace of mind first so she unfollowed but that she loves her family very much.

The actress gave a sneak peek in her latest vlog of the ongoing construction of their dream house, which we estimate is already at 50% and we can see how grandiose it is.

In Just by looking at it, the mansion they call Casa Choi is estimated to be worth a multi-million pesos. Even though it’s not finished yet, it looks like a palace due to its sheer size.

Construction of the house began in 2023 and Kris says he was very hands-on in building it.

“I was really hands-on in the construction of our house, especially when it came to sourcing suppliers, choosing tiles, colors, raw materials, I was really everything.

“You know me, right? “In my business, I’m hands-on, in everything, you know, I’m really involved,” Kris said.

The theme of their house is said to be modern Mediterranean with 4 floors including the basement where the dirty kitchen and 6-car garage are located.

One of the most expensive parts of the house is the grand entrance which is said to be full glass from the ground floor to the 2nd floor.

“This is one of Perry and I’s most expensive investments,” Kris said.

The actress also showed the exterior and interior renders of the house and honestly, it’s really stunning in its bonggaciousness.
