In an emotional statement, Miss Claudine Barretto faced the media and opened up about the ongoing feud with her siblings. “I never wanted anything but to make life easier for you. But it hurts that when you’re gone, so is the respect for you. Yet you owe me a lot,” she said. “I hope the day never comes when we start exposing bad checks.”

Claudine recently filed a formal complaint with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) against those she claims have threatened her life. According to Claudine, the threats arose amid her long-standing conflict with her siblings, Mito and Marjorie Barretto.

She revealed this in an interview vlog with Jopet Caldito and Chaps Manansala on June 15, 2025. Claudine shared that Mito had allegedly sent her threatening messages. “I had no intention of going public with this, but when your life and reputation are at stake, that’s why I went to the NBI,” she explained. Although she sent a cease-and-desist letter, she didn’t confirm if it was directly addressed to Mito.

“I’m not looking to cause chaos, but I’m afraid for my life and for my children. Whether the threats are real or not, I have to protect them,” Claudine said. “I’m not accusing anyone directly, but it’s all very timely. So if something happens to me, I want people to know that I received threats.”

She also revealed that Mito and Marjorie are accusing her of being the source who gave Cristy Fermin information about Marjorie and Dennis Padilla’s past. Claudine denied this, saying, “Do you honestly think I’d side with Kuya Dennis over Marjorie? That’s not going to happen. But for you to think about blackmailing and defaming me? That’s an evil mind.”

Claudine said everything was fine between them until she was suddenly targeted. She added that even old drug use allegations are being revived to discredit her. “I don’t bluff. I’m suing,” she stressed. “I no longer allow anyone to disrespect me—no matter who they are.”

She also shared that she informed their mother of her decision to take legal action. According to her, other siblings are supporting her.

Cristy Fermin also spoke out to clear Claudine’s name, denying that she was the source of the controversial story about Marjorie and Dennis. Cristy explained that someone else gave her the information and that Claudine had nothing to do with it. She emphasized that she protects her sources and wouldn’t betray anyone’s trust.

“The story didn’t come from Claudine,” Cristy confirmed. “She doesn’t deserve to be blamed.”
