It seems that the family of actress Jessy Mendiola is currently facing a serious ordeal following the recent public revelation about what happened to her husband, Luis Manzano. This has dealt a heavy blow to Luis’ family—especially his mother, Governor Vilma Santos.
After Luis Manzano’s loss in the recent elections where he ran for Vice Governor of Batangas, news about his hospitalization suddenly broke out. According to a source, this was due to a serious illness Luis had been secretly battling for several years. Even his wife, Jessy Mendiola, reportedly had no idea about the grave condition her husband was enduring.
Many were shocked to learn about Luis’ condition, as he had shown no signs of illness, especially around his family and in public appearances. Afterward, rumors spread that Luis had urgently flown abroad to seek treatment for his worsening health.

According to Edu, the pressure and stress may have been too much for his son to handle.
