According to Toni, she used to cry alone in the past when she read hurtful write-ups about her. “Actually, before Alex was in showbiz, it was just me, I was crying alone. I didn’t tell him because he wouldn’t understand the situation. You would just cry, because back then there was no Instagram, you could only read bad things written about you in the newspaper. Then if it wasn’t true, you couldn’t do anything, you didn’t have a platform to defend yourself because you wouldn’t always be interviewed on The Buzz or Showbiz Lingo to defend yourself from what was written about you that they might believe, so you would just cry,” she said.
