The young woman shared the incident on her Instagram account along with a black and white selfie photo.

The photo shows the Kapuso star’s face with a gauze pad under her right eye and on her chin.

In a separate post on IG, a short video of her going to a clinic where the bites from her pet dog were immediately treated can be seen.

“No matter how much we love your furbabies, never underestimate dog bite! Act (quickly),” Michelle’s IG post caption said.

The actress and singer said in another IG Story post, “My unexpected Tuesday plot twist. It’s really on my face.”

Just last month, two people died due to rabies infection, the first was a man who was bitten by a dog and died nine months later and the second was a woman who was bitten two months ago.

In 2024, the DOH recorded a total of 426 rabies-related deaths, which is why the agency is repeatedly reminding pets to be vaccinated.
