As Marjorie continued her interview with Ogie, who asked for her side because she interviewed Dennis after her son’s wedding.

“Am I right, he can’t say my name? He’s fighting everyone. The story has grown. It’s too messy but all he wants to say is, ‘Marjorie is the one who planned everything.’”

“What Dennis wants is not a relationship with his children. What he wants is attention. If you’re left out, you’re not in your children’s lives. You want to be interviewed more,” the bride’s mother said.

Another answer from Marjorie was Dennis’ complaint that she wasn’t made to sit next to the bride’s family but next to the godparents, so she said to Ogie, “Am I the godparent?”

“And then she told me, okay I’ll invite him but I don’t want him to walk with me down the aisle. I hope my daughters’ don’t judge here, why?

“Because what does walking the bride down the aisle mean? It’s a father who raised you, provided for you, nurtured you, protected you. Safe space handling over your daughter now after raising her to the man who is now gonna be in-charge of her,” Marjorie said directly.

He added, “So, why would he hand over Claudia, she doesn’t even know anything about him (and) he doesn’t know anything about her.”

Dennis may not even know what course Claudia completed and where she studied and who her friends were since she was a child because they were the ones invited to the wedding.

It is also said that the trend is different now that some brides walk down the aisle alone unlike in the past and there are others who work with their parents walking to the altar.

And before the wedding, the father of the bride already knew that he would not be the one to walk his child down the aisle because he mentioned it to him when they met over lunch last March 18.

“Ogie when they (the parents) talked, Claudia had two requests, don’t divulge about the wedding details and number 2, Papa, I’m gonna walk myself down the aisle, ha and he said okay, she was okay, even if all my children died, she (Claudia) said that because that was the main reason for the lunch meeting that they were able to talk about boundaries.”

The three children were so happy when they told their mother that their lunch meeting with their father was great.

His ex-mother-in-law was also there, but she didn’t know if she heard and understood what was being discussed.

“Dennis, don’t deny it, if you don’t agree to Claudia’s request that he walk down the aisle alone, you won’t be able to go to the wedding because that was the child’s request, she told you that.
