LTO issues show cause order against viral moto vlogger Yanna

If you use Facebook regularly—regardless of whether or not you follow motoring-related content—chances are, you’ve seen that viral video of a road-rage incident involving a moto vlogger and a motorist in Zambales.

Well, authorities are now stepping in. The Land Transportation Office has now issued a show cause order against the moto vlogger Yanna. This means that the agency is summoning her to explain “why her driver’s license should not be suspended or revoked for being an improper person to operate a motor vehicle for allegedly instigating a road rage.” That’s what the press release reads.

In case you missed the video, you can just watch it on Yanna’s page. She’s yet to take it down as of this writing, and it’s still continuously racking up views and engagement as we speak. If you don’t want to give it a click, a quick summary is that she was riding off-road, overtook a pickup somewhere along the trail, and after the driver supposedly almost hit her as she was passing through, she flipped him the finger. There was a confrontation that followed, during which the moto vlogger continued to be aggressive towards the pickup driver.

“Matagal na tayong nagpapaliwanag sa milyon-milyong nating mga kababayang motorista na walang mabuting idinudulot ang init ng ulo sa kalsada—at napakarami na ang naparusahan natin dito,” said LTO chief Atty. Vigor Mendoza II. “On the part of this vlogger, she should have used her social media influence to promote responsible driving and road safety.”

On this occasion, we completely agree with the LTO. Recent road rage-related events should have already been a wake-up call for all of us motorists. Besides, the riding community is fighting kamote allegations on a daily basis—at the very least, those with influence should help change that, not share their videos of incidents like these on the road. It isn’t helping at all.

The LTO’s statement further reads: “While Yanna Vlog already apologized after being bashed on social media, Asec. Mendoza said the investigation will be pursued.” Stay tuned for further updates on this.

Influencer Yana Motovlog Faces Jail Time

Influencer Yana Motovlog is now facing possible jail time. According to author Anna Rose Deva on her Facebook page, the family of Jimmy Pascual has refused to accept Yana’s personal apology over the recent controversy. Instead of settling privately, the Pascual family stood firm in their decision and declared they would meet her in court.

Harry J. Pascua, son of Jimmy Pascual, made a strong statement:

“Sorry isn’t enough. You stripped my father of his dignity in front of the public. There’s a difference between shame and a mistake — and this can’t just be wiped clean with words.”

The issue began when Yana allegedly mocked the appearance, clothing, and vehicle of the Pascual family in a vlog. But instead of receiving sympathy, Yana was met with public outrage when it was revealed that the Pascuals actually own a gravel plant, have an agricultural business, and relatives with a factory in Taiwan. The pickup truck that Yana ridiculed is used for their family business — proof of a hardworking and humble lifestyle, not poverty or shame.

Because of this, the Pascual family chose to pursue legal action instead of accepting mediation or settlement. They insisted there was nothing left to discuss outside the courtroom. A powerful lesson was delivered: Never belittle others based on appearances — and don’t trade dignity for a rushed apology.

Meanwhile, a show cause order was released by the LTO (Land Transportation Office). The LTO has filed a reckless driving case against Alyana Marie Aguinaldo, also known as Yana Motovlog, and is planning to revoke her driver’s license permanently. For now, her license is suspended for 90 days.

Here’s what Harry James Pascua said in response:

“We will never agree to a settlement. The humiliation you brought on my father was too much. Ma’am, you stripped him of his dignity. You deserve to learn a lesson.”

More details surfaced showing how well-off the Pascual family truly is. Contrary to Yana’s assumptions, they own cattle, goats, and native chickens. Their lifestyle may look simple, but they’re far from poor. That pickup truck Yana mocked? It’s used to haul gravel from their plant.

“Can you even afford the legal fees, Yana?” netizens asked.
“Maybe you wouldn’t be in this situation if you hadn’t used offensive language and flashed a middle finger.”

Some netizens pointed out that Yana even responded arrogantly online, saying:

“You think I’ll tolerate that? You almost hit me. Put your kid in my shoes.”
