In a moment that silenced the room and brought tears to everyone present, veteran actor Christopher De Leon was seen emotionally embracing his children, Lotlot and Ian, as he arrived at the wake of the late Superstar Nora Aunor. The reunion of the broken-hearted family was nothing short of gut-wrenching.
A Scene Filled with Pain and Love
As Christopher entered the venue, all eyes turned to him. The grief on his face was unmistakable — a man who had not only lost a former partner but also a woman he once called his greatest love. But it was when he saw their children, Lotlot and Ian, standing by the casket, that the dam of emotions finally broke.
“It was like time stood still,” one witness described. “The three of them hugged, sobbed, and held each other tightly — no words were needed.”
Lotlot’s face was visibly swollen from days of crying. Ian, too, appeared broken, clinging to his father in a way that showed how deep the wound truly was.
A Family Once Torn, Now Reunited by Grief
While the De Leon family has experienced its share of distance and complications over the years, this tragedy brought them back together — if only for a moment of shared pain and remembrance.
“Despite everything, we’re still family,” a relative was heard saying quietly.
Tributes Continue to Pour In
Christopher De Leon, who once shared the screen and a life with Nora Aunor, has yet to speak publicly, but sources say he has been deeply affected by her passing and has chosen to grieve privately — until now.
His presence at the wake, and the emotional display, served as a powerful reminder of the deep bonds Nora had not just as an icon, but as a mother, a partner, and a friend.
In the glow of candlelight and the silence of mourning, the embrace between Christopher, Lotlot, and Ian became a symbol of unity — a final act of love for the woman who gave them everything, even in her final breath.
Christopher de Leon reacts to Nora and Lotlot’s greetings
Christopher and Ian de Leon bonded during the lock-in taping of Lolong.
Even though the lock-in taping was difficult and the new action-drama of GMA-7, Lolong, faced many setbacks and problems, they finally finished it and the entire cast and production staff became even closer.
Father and son Christopher and Ian de Leon enjoyed themselves because they were together during the taping, so they were able to bond.
Boyet plays the role of Armando Banson, and Ian plays Lucas, the right hand of the Bansons who will be a thorn in Lolong’s side.
This will start on July 4 after 24 Oras.
Boyet said when I asked him how he and his son were working together again, “I enjoyed every minute of our bubble taping with Ian.”
I also followed up with a question via text about how he felt about Lotlot de Leon’s touching message to him last Father’s Day, and Lotlot and his Mama Guy (Nora Aunor) also exchanged greetings on June 15, Wednesday. Boyet replied, “I know Lotlot and he has principles to fight for.
“Now, they’re okay with Guy… everyone should be happy and no one should be making trouble like trolls. No one knows if they don’t spoil. No one knows the real story. Boyet is aware of the condition of 69-year-old Ate Guy, who Lotlot is still watching over in the hospital. He also hopes for the original Superstar’s recovery, but he says he should take care of his health.
Boyet said, “Nora has to take care of her health. Stop smoking or lessen it then slowly stop.” But Boyet acknowledges Ate Guy’s significant contribution to our Arts and Culture with her National Artist Award.
He said, “The first National Artist for Film is FPJ and now Nora Aunor [smile emoji].
“Well, she was hailed as the best actress in Asia for her movie Himala and has done a lot of meaningful movies like Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos, Flor Contemplacion , and many more. Why not?”
Meaningful is the key word there. Not just quantity but quality and value. What is done should be important, not for personal or showy reasons, but also for the people.
Who knows, with his good body of works, in due time, Boyet will also become a National Artist, ha!!!
Boyet is the Drama King of Philippine Movies, and his skill and dedication as an actor cannot be underestimated.
For his guest appearance in a TV series where his character will be poor, he even hired a make-up artist to make him look really poor.
That should be the attitude of a true artist! Not like an actor whose role in a movie is poor and a prisoner, but who wears make-up to still look flawless.
