Kim Chiu Panics During Flight with Mr. Paulo Avelino
After Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino returned from Cebu, they were already at the airport early this morning for another engagement—as guest performers at an event in Surigao. However, during their flight, Kim Chiu couldn’t help but panic due to an incident that forced their plane to return to Manila.
“A to the M to the GPR29676 PAL. Maybe reading too much news lately got me nervous today. So much so that I caught myself looking for seat 11A—because according to the internet, it’s the safest seat on a plane. But our seats started at 21!”
Kim shared a quick story:
“Our flight was scheduled for 4:30 a.m., and we finally took off around 5-ish. But just minutes after takeoff, the pilot announced we had to return to Manila due to a technical issue. Before that, the crew had been going in and out of the cockpit, which already had me panicking a bit. I tried to calm myself by sleeping it off, but when I woke up and we were still on the ground, my thoughts went wild. As we turned back mid-air, all I could do was pray.”
Kim said she tried to remain calm and just prayed throughout the ordeal. She was extremely thankful they landed safely back in Manila. The two are now waiting for a new flight.
