Dipika Kakar Diagnosed With Liver Tumor, Shoaib Ibrahim Requests Fans To Pray

One of the most popular television actors, Dipika Kakar, has been diagnosed with a tennis ball-sized tumour in her liver. Her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, shared a detailed update on her health in their latest YouTube vlog.

Dipika, who was last seen in Celebrity MasterChef India, returned to television after five long years. The heartbreaking news comes after her voluntary exit from the show, citing health issues.

In his recent vlog, Shoaib Ibrahim said, “Dipika is not well; I think there is a stomach issue. When I was in Chandigarh, Dipika started having pain in her stomach, and initially we thought it was due to acidity. But when the pain did not decrease, she consulted our family doctor, who also treated our father. He gave some antibiotics and asked her to get blood tests done. Then she was on antibiotics till May 5, and when I returned, she was doing fine.”

“Then, after Papa`s birthday, she once again started experiencing pain, and meanwhile the blood test reports came, which indicated that she had an infection in her body,” he added.

He continued saying, “Our doctor asked us to visit again, and when we met him, he asked us to do a CT scan, and it showed that Dipika has a tumour in the left lobe of her liver. It is bigger in size, like a tennis ball. It was very shocking for us.”

Shoiab also mentioned that the initial reports suggested Dipika Kakar`s tumour in her liver was benign in nature. However, they are awaiting some more crucial reports which will determine the future course of treatment.

Ibrahim went on to say that their biggest concern was if the tumour was malignant; however, the initial findings suggest it is not. According to him, the first CT scan revealed the tumour in her liver to be a benign one. However, a critical report will give a clearer and precise picture.

Meanwhile, the doctors prescribed the Sasural Simar Ka actress to get hospitalised for treatment to avoid the tumour spreading any further.

Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar, who share a son Ruhaan, are also worried about how he is not used to being apart from his mother for longer periods. The actor also requested fans and followers to pray for her speedy and safe recovery.
