In a colorful interview conducted by Boy Abunda, the well-known “Asia’s King of Talk,” with Willie Revillame, the TV host and current senatorial candidate, they discussed the latter’s plans and advocacy should he win the upcoming elections. The said interview was aired on Willie’s social media page on May 7, 2025.
As an individual who grew up in poverty, Willie shared his personal experience and how it shaped his views and goals in life. According to him, his life experiences served as inspiration to strive and succeed. Therefore, he wants to serve the people and give a voice to our underprivileged countrymen.
When asked by Boy Abunda about the laws he wants to propose if he becomes a senator, “You know for me, laws for the poor,” Willie insisted.
“We should have a law that looks after our underprivileged countrymen. Who are the voters? Who are the ones who support us, the poor. We should also give them back that. That is the law I want to make. A law for the poor.”
He pointed out that the poor make up a large portion of the population and they are often neglected in matters of law and policy. That is why he wants to lay down measures that will provide protection and benefits to them.
Willie also shared his perspective on the basic needs of every Filipino. According to him, the poor need the following:
Health – Everyone should have adequate health services to prevent diseases and have good health.
Education – Having quality education is key to achieving a bright future.
Work – Having a decent job will give everyone the opportunity to meet their needs and help their families.
Despite the challenges and controversies he faced in the television industry, Willie boasted that his conscience is clean and free from corruption. According to him, his goal is to serve the people and not for personal gain.
This interview shed light on Willie Revillame’s plans and advocacy if he wins the Senate. He showed his concern for our poor countrymen and his dedication to serve the nation honestly and with integrity.

In an exclusive interview with him, Tito Boy bluntly asked him about the reason for his entry into politics and what his platform would be if he wins the senatorship.
Willie said that even then, former President Rodrigo Duterte had been encouraging him to run, but at that time, he admitted that he was not ready.
But now he has become determined to run after seeing the disagreements in Congress and the problems facing the Senate.
“What poor people see is all fighting. It’s like I said it’s about time I made a way for my poor countrymen,” Willie said.
That is why when he was asked what the budget is and what law he would propose if he wins the senatorship, he said he would make a law for the poor.
“You know, for me, a law for the poor. We should have a law that looks after our underprivileged countrymen. Who are the voters? Who are the ones who support us, the poor. We should also give that back to them. That is the law I want to make. A law for the poor,” Willie said.
He continued, “What do the poor need? To live well. Right? Not those who live with constant illness. This is how it feels. No job. No education. That is the most basic thing we need.”
Willie plans to first enact a law for health, jobs, investors, and the needs of the youth.
