Sharon Cuneta has gone public about her child with her ex-boyfriend, Robin Padilla.

A new showbiz rumor has been circulating online following a supposed revelation by veteran actress Sharon Cuneta about having a child with veteran actor and now-politician Robin Padilla. At first, many found it hard to believe when the names of megastar Sharon Cuneta and Senator Robin Padilla were linked in this issue. However, it’s well-remembered that they had a relationship after Sharon and Gabby Concepcion separated in 1987. By 1991, Sharon and Robin were paired in the teleserye Maging Sino Ka Man. Their on-screen romance reportedly developed into a real-life courtship, and they nearly got married after Robin asked for Sharon’s hand in marriage from her father.

However, due to various complications, the wedding did not push through. Sharon shared that although the marriage didn’t happen, their connection continued—until she became pregnant in 1992. She gave birth abroad in 1993, and shortly after, her romantic relationship with Robin ended. From then on, their only connection was their daughter.
