Tropical Storm Crising: Signal No. 1 and 2 Raised In These Areas

Signal No. 1 and 2 raised in these areas due to Tropical Storm Crising, according to the latest from PAGASA.

TROPICAL STORM CRISING – PAGASA has listed down these areas under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals 1 and 2, as of the 5 PM update.

From Tropical Depression, Crising has escalated to a Tropical Storm, and recently, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released an update about it.

As of 5 PM, Crising brings stormy conditions over northern Luzon tonight as it nears northern Cagayan. At 4 PM, the center was spotted at 135 km East of Aparri, Cagayan (18.3°N, 122.9°E). It has a maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 105 km/h, and a central pressure of 990 hPa, while moving west-northwestward at 20 km/h

Based on the 6 AM situational report from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), a total of 7,501 families or 23,918 individuals from 56 barangays in Western Visayas, Central Visayas, and Soccsksargen were affected by flooding.

38 families evacuated in Western Visayas and 77 in Soccsksargen.

Meanwhile, on July 18, classes were also suspended in different parts of the country due to the tropical cyclone. The decision was made to ensure the safety of students and school personnel.
