After we finished building our house, my sister-in-law insisted on staying over—and even brought along my mother-in-law and my husband’s aunt to eat and hang around all day. I got so mad that I cleared out the fridge, left only one thing inside—and exactly three days later…

After building the house, my brother-in-law insisted on staying and even dragged his mother-in-law and sister-in-law to eat and drink all day…

The house had just been completed before it had time to warm up when my brother-in-law came with a suitcase:
“Sister, let me stay for a few days, my house will just fix the plumbing, a few meals will be done.

It sounds guilty, I agree. But “few days” turned out to be indefinite. Not only that, he also called his mother-in-law and her aunt-in-law to stay with him. All three of them ate and drank and lived like their own homes, without asking me a question.

Every day when I come home from work, I open the refrigerator and find it empty. The meat, fish, and vegetables I just bought the morning before have disappeared. Sometimes I even see the drinking table displayed in a clown, the whole neighborhood pulls to eat and drink noisily.

Fasting for a few days, my blood boiled. That night, I emptied the refrigerator, leaving only a large plastic bag wrapped in it. Inside is not food… but a ripe durian, with a strong smell.

Three days later, when I came home from work, the house was silent. The refrigerator was still in the same bag, but my mother-in-law, aunt and brother-in-law had all moved away, not bothering to say goodbye. Neighbors whispered that in the past few days, everything they eat smells “like dead rats”, and they can’t bear it, so they leave for another house.

Since then, my house has been strangely peaceful.
