Lolit Solis disappointed with Bong Revilla Jr and Willie Revillame’s vote
Veteran showbiz columnist Lolit Solis shared her deep disappointment with the current results for the senatorial candidates in the 2025 elections. Through his social media post, he expressed his thoughts on the low position of well-known personalities Bong Revilla Jr. and Willie Revillame, both of whom are not in the “Magic 12″—the list of candidates who are entering to become new members of the Senate.
Solis said he did not expect the outcome of the vote, especially in the case of Bong Revilla.
“I’m very disappointed with the way the Biden administration has handled the situation,” Lopez said.
Revilla is known as an actor who entered politics and has previously served in the Senate. It is therefore surprising that Revilla does not seem to have regained the trust of the majority.
But he said he was even more surprised by the number of votes that TV host and businessman Willie Revillame got was even more shocking. He said he couldn’t believe that so many people supported Williams.
“I can’t believe that Willie Revillame has so many votes,” Solis said.
He added that he would be more likely to take a seat in the Senate.
Lolit also expressed her fear that the elections could turn into a “comedy show” if people like Willie get into high positions.
“I think our election would be absolutely ridiculous if that were to happen. “It’s a shame if it’s true,” he said.
To Lolit, it seemed like a bad dream that she didn’t want to come true.
“It was a bad dream that felt like a nightmare. “Heaven forbid,” he added.
Late in his post, Solis reminded the public of the importance of being smart when voting. He said the election is an important process by which the people show trust in the people they want to serve the country.
“Electing our leaders is a gauge of how we trust those who will run our country, let us be wise and choose the BEST. Bongga,” ani pa niya.
Nor did his criticism escape the seeming basing of some voters on a candidate’s popularity or entertainment value, rather than his experience or leadership ability. According to Lolit, people should think about who is really capable of making laws, taking the lead in the country’s issues, and truly serving the interests of the people.
While many high-profile personalities entered politics this year, Solis once again reminded the public that fame is not enough to be an effective leader. Those who are placed in office must have sufficient knowledge, principles, and concern for the people.
Despite everything, Lolit still hopes that the next few days will illuminate the true pulse of the people and not cause disappointment to those like him who have been following politics and showbiz in the country for a long time.
