Christopher de Leon replaces Ian Veneracion in ABS-CBN series

This is his ABS-CBN comeback after doing projects with GMA-7.

Christopher de Leon returns to ABS-CBN to replace Ian Veneracion in the prime-time series Huwag Kang Mangamba.

Christopher de Leon is making a comeback to ABS-CBN after doing projects with GMA-7.

He is set to replace Ian Veneracion in the new chapter of the prime-time series Huwag Kang Mangamba.

ABS-CBN and Dreamscape Entertainment released a teaser about Christopher’s character today, September 28.

It can be noticed that Christopher is wearing the same clothes that Ian wore in the teaser showing the new character.

Christopher’s last project with ABS-CBN was the afternoon series Love Thy Woman in 2020. The Kapamilya network pushed through with Love Thy Woman, among other projects, despite facing franchise woes in June 2020.

After Love Thy Woman, Christopher accepted projects with GMA-7.

In April 2021, he top-billed the miniseries The Lookout. An installment of the anthology special I Can See You, the series also had Barbie Forteza as its lead star.

It was also previously announced that Christopher would be part of the GMA Public Affairs series Lolong, top-billed by Ruru Madrid. However, the project has yet to air on prime-time television.

Based on the teaser of Huwag Kang Mangamba, Christopher’s scenes are expected to air this October.

Yesterday, September 27, ABS-CBN and Dreamscape Entertainment announced that Ian won’t be able to do his role in Huwag Kang Mangamba due to “previous commitments” and “schedule problems.”

The series would have been Ian’s comeback after his six-month stint in TV5.
