Netizens once again bashed Albee Benitez
Businessman-politician Albee Benitez and his issue with Kapamilya actress-vlogger Ivana Alawi were pointed out by netizens after the recent flood in Bacolod City.
Albee is the current mayor of Bacolod, and he is an incoming congressman of the city. For several years, aside from being known as a wealthy businessman, he also worked as a public servant.
His name became controversial just recently because of the revelations that his estranged wife, Nikki Benitez, had in her VAWC complaint affidavit against the politician.

In that complaint, Nikki mentioned Ivana, who is allegedly in a current illicit affair with Albee. The politician denied this while the actress remained nonchalant and unbothered about the allegation against her.
Because of this, some other issues resurfaced, especially in Ivana Alawi’s part. She was accused of being a “kabit” and her a past issue with actor-politician Dan Fernandez. Some netizens also dug into the issue about her “Moroccan heiress” label and her supposed home in Bahrain, which she inherited from her father.

On June 19, a post on Reddit once again talked about the issue between Mayor Albee Benitez and Ivana Alawi. It was because of the flood in Bacolod.
On the Bacolod Reddit community, a netizen shared a series of photos showing the flooded streets of Bacolod. The post stressed that the summer just passed without any preparation for the coming of the rainy season.
