Nueva Ecija, Philippines — What started as a routine follow-up operation by law enforcement has now evolved into what many are calling “a national horror” — as multiple sets of human skeletal remains were unearthed in a secluded farm reportedly owned by or connected to Atong Ang, the embattled figure at the center of the missing sabungeros scandal.

Acting on a tip from a whistleblower under protective custody, combined with fresh intel from forensics teams analyzing the bone recovered in Taal Lake, agents from the NBI and PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) raided the 15-hectare farmland just past midnight Tuesday.

By noon the next day, the team had confirmed the discovery of at least 6 complete skeletal remains and several more bone fragments — some partially buried, others wrapped in decaying tarps.

“We’re looking at the possibility of a mass execution site,” said PNP Chief Col. Antonio Mendez.
“Some of these bones show signs of trauma. We are preserving the crime scene and awaiting deeper excavation.”
