Veteran entertainment columnist Lolit Solis has spoken out on social media about the controversy surrounding the breakup of Kyline Alcantara and basketball player Kobe Paras.

In her commentary on Instagram, Solis claimed there seems to be a pattern of issues surfacing whenever Kyline ends a relationship — a situation further intensified now by public accusations made by Kobe’s mother, Jackie Forster.

“Why is it that every time he has a breakup, there is a problem. And the mothers of her ex-boyfriend have always spoken. It was as if he didn’t have a good relationship with them to make their words sound like that. When you talk to one person it’s okay, but that’s two mothers in a row, it’s like you’re going to think…”

She noted that it’s no longer easy for her to dismiss the criticism when it comes from multiple sources, particularly from the mothers of Kyline’s former boyfriends.

The columnist also highlighted the possible impact such accusations can have on public perception, especially when they come from a mother’s perspective.

“Whatever it is, I’m sure it will have an impact on the way people think about Kyline. More mothers have spoken. Anything to say to affect a mother is a big deal. And for the mothers of men, you have to think.”

Jackie Forster’s recent social media posts, seen by many as references to Kyline, have added to the storm of speculation and commentary online. With public figures like Lolit Solis also now chiming in, the breakup continues to stir discussions both within showbiz circles and among fans.

Kyline Alcantara, who was born on September 3, 2002, is a Filipino actress and singer. The Kapuso star started her career as a child actress after placing in the top ten of the talent search show ‘Star Circle Quest.’ Kyline played memorable roles in ‘Kambal, Karibal’ (2017) and ‘Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit’ (2020). She has also won a Star Award for Television and a Box Office Entertainment Award. Furthermore, she has also been nominated for an Awit Award and Asian Academy Creative Awards.

In another report, Robin Alcantara, actress’ Kyline Alcantara’s sibling, commented on Kobe Paras’s video from Bali, Indonesia. Robin implied that it was impossible for Kobe to be with Kyline in Bali because she was in a different location. Cryptic posts from Kyline’s and Kobe’s camps regarding their relationship have surfaced. There is no confirmation from Kyline and Kobe about the breakup issue.

Previously, Kyline also took to Instagram and shared a cryptic message about kindness. The Kapuso actress stated that she knows that her kindness hurts her but she will still continue to choose it. Kyline did not give any indication as to whether she was alluding to someone, or it was meant for someone. The post came amid breakup rumors concerning her and her boyfriend Kobe Paras.
