Danmark Masongsong, the father of Malia, was panicking as he looked for his family outside the Departure Area. He was devastated when he was told about the death of his beloved daughter. His wife and his mother were also left injured by the NAIA Terminal 1 accident.
The grieving father of the girl who died in the NAIA Terminal 1 accident has spoken about his daughter’s death. Last night, the father claimed that they have yet to tell his wife, Cynthia, over the death of their daughter considering her condition. He stressed that her body is not strong enough to know such news as she just came from an operation.
Masongsong called on the government to help him in giving justice over the death of her only daughter. He stressed that they love her very much and he could not accept what happened.
Recently, based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the aunt of Malia Masongsong, the girl who died from the NAIA Terminal 1 accident, revealed that her mother, Cynthia, was already told about her daughter’s death.
According to Malia’s aunt who is the sister of her father, Cynthia looked for her husband as she has been transferred to the recovery room. He already told her about what happened to their daughter.
“Yung kapatid ko nasa ospital kasi hinanap daw siya ni Cynthia, ‘yung ina. Kasi nakalipat na po siya sa recovery room so nakaka-usap na siya nang maayos. Kanina ‘nung nasa ospital sinabi na ng kapatid ko sa hipag ko ‘yung nangyari sa anak nila,” the aunt shared.
Malia’s aunt further expressed that Cynthia already had a hint on what happened to her four-year-old daughter. She was still conscious inside the ambulance when she heard the scream of her husband who was told about their daughter’s unfortunate fate.
“Ang sabi sa akin, alam na daw pala ni, may alam na si Cynthia. Nung time na ‘yung nasa ambulance siya, conscious pa siya ‘nun so naririnig niya ‘yung kapatid kong sumisigaw sa labas. Sinisigaw ‘yung pangalan ni Malia. Parang alam na niya. So nung kanina nung sinabi ng kapatid ko, ang gusto na lang malaman nung hipag ko is confirmation kung talagang wala na ‘yung anak nila,” she said.
During the interview, the aunt of the child victim of the NAIA Terminal 1 accident said she does not know about the reaction of Cynthia when she was told about Malia’s death but she is currently with her husband. According to her, they are already finding ways for her discharge from the hospital as she really wants to see her daughter. She stressed that Cynthia’s condition is fine now.
“Okay na daw po. Nakakausap at nakakain na. Sabay silang kumain nung kapatid ko… No’ng first day pa lang sinabi na niya sa kapatid ko na, ‘Bakit wala siya dito sa ospital?’ So ang sinabi na lang po namin kasama siya no’ng kapatid ko. Pero hindi niya alam kung anong lagay ni Malia,” she said.
The bollard was cited as one of the reasons that allegedly paved the way for the accident. Instead of stopping the vehicle, it was removed by the SUV that rammed the people. Malacañang said Pres. Bongbong Marcos already issued the investigation of the bollards at NAIA.
