Air India Sole Survivor Of Crash Narrates How He Escaped

The sole survivor of the Air India crash has this story to tell.

AIR INDIA SOLE SURVIVOR – How the man seated in 11A became the lone survivor of the fatal crash? Here’s his story.

Viswashkumar Ramesh is the only survivor of the Boeing 787 plane crash that killed hundreds of passengers and all of its crew. It was traveling from Ahmedabad, India, to London, England, and reached 625 feet (200 feet above the ground) before it descended into a fatal crash into a doctor’s hostel.

This is the first fatal crash of a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner where 169 Indian nationals, 53 Britons, seven Portuguese nationals, and one Canadian were aboard.

The only survivor of the fatal crash was in disbelief that he had survived the incident that had charred the others. According to him, he made it out alive after escaping from a broken emergency exit.

He got out of the situation in a blood-stained T-shirt and with bruises on his body. The British national thought he was also going to die, but he was wrong.

“But when I opened my eyes, I realised I was alive and I tried to unbuckle myself from the seat and escape from where I could. It was in front of my eyes that the air hostess and others [died],” he said.

He was seated on the side of the plane that landed on the ground when it crashed and saw the space outside. His door broke, and that was how he was able to escape as the other side of the aircraft hit the wall of the building, making the others unable to run away from the situation.

“The opposite side of the aircraft was blocked by the building wall so nobody could have come out of there,” he shared.

The survivor added that when the plane took off, there was a moment when the plane came to a standstill midair. They felt the engine thrust, which later “crashed with speed into the hostel”.

Last year, on the other hand, several plane crashes from different parts of the world were recorded in just a span of a week. It has concerned a lot of people regarding air travel safety, raising the call for increased safety measures and stringent investigations.
