Palace Speaks on Pres. Bongbong Marcos & His Office Kind Gesture for Nora Aunor

BONGBONG MARCOS – Malacañang confirmed that the President and his office paid for the hospital bills, debts, and other personal expenses of the late Nora Aunor.

The death of Superstar Nora Aunor has left countless hearts grieving. Technically and clinically, Nora Aunor’s cause of death was acute respiratory failure. The late veteran actress and singer is survived by his children — Lotlot, Ian, Matet, Kenneth, and Kiko.

Among Nora Aunor’s children, it is no secret to the public that Lotlot, Matet, Kenneth, and Kiko are adopted children of the late Superstar and they are proud of it. Ian de Leon is her biological son with her former husband, Christopher de Leon.

Several big stars in the Philippine showbiz industry paid tribute to the late Superstar. Not only singers and actors and actresses visited the wake of Nora Aunor but as well as several politicians.

Among those who paid their last respects to National Artist Nora Aunor were Pres. Bongbong Marcos and his wife, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos. They paid a visit to the late Superstar at the last night of her wake before she was buried to the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

Recently, amid the public doubts on who really paid for the hospital bills of the late Superstar, Malacañang confirmed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos and his office paid for the hospital bills as well as the debts and the other personal expenses of Nora Aunor. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, an official of the Palace confirmed that Marcos Jr. gave his personal money to be added for the payment of the debts and other expenses of the late Superstar.

Communications Senior Undersecretary Ana Puod cited that Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Mel Robles confirmed that Pres. Marcos and his office paid for the hospital bills, debts, and the other personal expenses of the late Superstar.

“‘Di lang yung hospital bill ‘yan, pati ibang utang at ibang expenses daw galing sa personal na pera ni PBBM (President Bongbong Marcos) ‘yan,” Puod said.

Based on the report, the Malacañang press officer said that they don’t know the breakdown if how much Pres. Bongbong Marcos gave and how much did the Office of the President gave but they “don’t want to discuss anymore”.

Following the death of the late Superstar, actress Lotlot de Leon penned a heartfelt farewell message for Nora Aunor.
