In the past, my parents gave birth to two sons. The eldest brother is smart and agile, while the youngest brother is disadvantaged: not as clear as ordinary people, when he is awake and when he is naïve. My parents love me very much, but I am also worried that in the future, my grandparents will take care of the youngest boy.

So when he was alive, his parents decided to let the family’s incense land be transferred to the name of the eldest brother to stand on his behalf, telling him over and over again:
“This land is to take care of the youngest, no matter what happens in the future, I have to keep him with a place to eat.

The eldest brother nodded, and they all complimented, “The eldest is filial, taking care of me on behalf of my parents.”

Time passed, and my parents passed away one after another. The youngest brother still lives innocently in the old house, not understanding much. The whole neighborhood still saw the scene of him standing outside the alley laughing idly, calling his parents’ names. Everyone loves him, he just thinks it’s lucky that the eldest brother takes care of him.

Unexpectedly, one day, people saw the eldest brother bringing cadastral officers and strangers to measure the land. No one could believe it, and when I asked, I found out: the eldest brother had quietly taken the red book to sell, making a transfer contract for  ₱14.3 milyon

The news spread, the whole village talked loudly. The youngest brother didn’t understand anything, but when he saw the house crowded, he ran out and laughed happily:
“My house… beautiful?

That scene made many people look at it and shed tears.

On the day of signing the contract, the eldest brother brought cash, his face was happy. But unexpectedly, as soon as he walked out of the notary office, the police came and seized all the files. It turned out that the youngest brother, although not lucid, had been made a notarized will by his parents 20 years ago, clearly stating: the land belongs to him, the eldest brother is only in the name of the household.

For the past few decades, no one has noticed, until the transfer dossier was sent, the notary office reviewed and discovered the overlap in the papers. They immediately reported to the authorities.

The eldest brother turned pale, the ₱14.3 milyon he had just held in his hand was withdrawn, and the contract was canceled. They all scolded, and the neighbors were angry.

And the youngest brother was still innocently laughing, not knowing that he had just escaped a life of being robbed empty-handed. Someone said in a whisper:
“Fortunately, his parents were wise from an early age, but now he is homeless…
