Lorna Tolentino Clarifies Engagement Video with Lito Lapid
Manila, Philippines – Veteran actress Lorna Tolentino has spoken out to clarify rumors sparked by a recent video that led many to believe she was engaged to actor and senator Lito Lapid. The video, which circulated widely on social media, showed the two in what appeared to be an intimate and celebratory moment, prompting speculation among fans and entertainment media.
In a statement, Tolentino clarified that the video was part of a promotional shoot and not a real-life engagement. She explained that the clip was taken out of context and emphasized that there is no romantic relationship between her and Lapid.
“The video was purely for promotional purposes. There is no truth to the engagement rumors,” Tolentino said. “Senator Lapid and I have always had a respectful and professional relationship, especially as co-stars in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.”
Tolentino and Lapid star as Amanda and Primo in the popular action-drama series, where their strong on-screen chemistry has sparked interest from fans. Their close collaboration on the show may have contributed to the public’s assumptions about a possible real-life romance.
Despite the rumors, Tolentino remains focused on her acting career and maintains a low profile when it comes to her personal life. She thanked her supporters for their concern but asked for understanding and respect for her privacy.
“I appreciate the support and love from fans, but I hope everyone understands that not everything they see online reflects real life,” she added.
The actress’s clarification aims to put an end to the speculation and to refocus attention on her work. Meanwhile, both Tolentino and Lapid continue to receive praise for their performances in the ongoing television series.
