Puno pa rin ng paghanga ang King of Drama na si Christopher de Leon sa dati niyang asawa at ka-tandem sa showbiz na si Superstar Nora Aunor.
Kagabi, September 22, sa SM The Block Cinema 2, pagkatapos ng red-carpet premiere ng kauna-unahang mini-serye ng TV5, ang Sa Ngalan Ng Ina, na pinagbibidahan nilang dalawa, ay nagpahayag pa rin ng pagkabilib si Boyet kay Ate Guy.
“I’m very proud to be in this project. And I’m so happy to be working again with director Mario O’ Hara.
“And, of course, director Jon Red and the one and only Superstar. Magaling pa rin.
“After eight years [ng pamamahinga niya sa showbiz], she’s still the one… number one,” sabi ni Christopher, referring to Ate Guy.
Ikinatuwa rin ng aktor ang napanood niyang pilot episode ng kanilang mini-serye.
“Maganda ang nakita kong product and there’s more to come,” sabi niya.
Ginagampanan ni Christopher ang role ni Pepe Ilustre sa Sa Ngalan Ng Ina. Asawa siya rito ni Rosanna Roces as Lucia Ilustre at may nakaraan naman sila ni Nora as Elena Deogracias.
Kasama rin nila sa cast sina Ian de Leon, Nadine Samonte, Alwyn Uytingco, Edgar Allan Guzman, Eula Caballero, Karel Marquez, Joross Gamboa, Jay Aquitania, at may special participation naman sina Eugene Domingo at Bembol Roco.
Mapapanood ang Sa Ngalan Ng Ina simula sa October 3 pagkatapos ng Wil Time Bigtime sa TV5.
BRINGS BACK MEMORIES. Dahil ang characters nina Christopher at Nora sa mini-serye ay may nakaraan, inamin din ng dalawa na naka-relate sila rito dahil maging sila ay may nakaraan din sa totoong buhay, na nagbunga pa nga ng isang anak—si Ian de Leon.
Nang matanong nga si Ate Guy ng press kung may memories bang nagbalik ngayong magkatrabaho sila sa series na ito, sinabi niya: “Alam n’yo kung ang dalawang tao ay may pinagsamahan at ito nga ang bunga [Ian], so para sa akin hindi mo maiaalis.
“Siyempre yung pakiramdam na unang-una, isang magaling na aktor si Papa Boyet.
“Idolo ko po iyan, e. Pag nagkakaeksena po kami, kinakabahan ako.
“Yung relasyon, nandun na yun, e. Hindi na natin maiaalis yun.
“Pero, tapos na iyon.”
Dagdag pa ni Ate Guy, bilang dating magkarelasyon hindi maiwasan na magkaroon pa rin ng “pitik sa puso” ang muli nilang pagkikita.
Sinegundahan naman ito ni Christopher.
