In what quickly escalated into one of the most controversial moments in recent Philippine influencer history, content creators Rosmar Tan and Rendon Labador found themselves at the center of a political and public storm after an explosive incident in Coron, Palawan. The incident, which involved a heated confrontation inside the mayor’s office, led to the Sangguniang Bayan (Municipal Council) declaring both personalities persona non grata — effectively a symbolic banishment from the island municipality.

It all started innocently enough. Rosmar Tan, a beauty entrepreneur and vlogger, alongside social media firebrand Rendon Labador, visited Coron allegedly to shoot content and provide aid to residents. However, their visit took a turn when a video surfaced online showing Labador in a tense argument with a municipal employee, identified as Jho Cayabyab Trinidad, reportedly an executive assistant at the Office of the Vice Mayor.
In the now-viral clip, Labador can be seen aggressively confronting Trinidad over comments made about his and Rosmar’s real intentions in Coron. The confrontation occurred inside the government office and was reportedly captured on video without consent — sparking concerns over both disrespectful behavior and privacy violations.
🏛️ Municipal Council Responds Swiftly
In response, Councilor John Patrick Reyes filed a motion to declare both Rosmar and Rendon persona non grata — a term used by local governments to express formal disapproval of an individual’s actions within their jurisdiction. The resolution cited their “disrespectful conduct” and the “emotional distress” inflicted on public servants.
The motion was unanimously approved by the Coron Sangguniang Bayan. Although the declaration does not legally prohibit either influencer from entering the municipality, it serves as a powerful political and social statement against their behavior.
“Public officials, no matter what level, deserve to be treated with dignity. The actions of these individuals have no place in our municipality,” Councilor Reyes stated.
